2014 Haines Award - Application Process OPEN NOW!

It is time for each State and Territorial Society to begin the application process for
The 2014 Roy C. Haines Award

In 2013, NCSS revitalized the tradition of presenting the Roy C. Haines Award to the Society that lived up to the name and what Roy C. Haines stood for. And the winner of The 2013 Roy C. Haines Award was The Guam Society of America!!!

It is that time of year again, where Societies need to fill out the application and have it in by September 15, 2014, for consideration.  To download the Haines Award Application - go to the EVENTS folder in the menu bar and click on the Haines Award sub-folder.

Details are forthcoming as the plans are being finalized for the October 25, 2014 event.  We look forward to having all Societies and Territories participate!!

Pete Berlowitz
NCSS VP Internal
Haines Award Chairman

2015 Princess Papers are Available!!

The 2015 Princess Papers will be available on September 1, 2014.  They will be available by going to the Princess Program folder in the Menu bar and clicking on Princess Papers sub-folder.

Please note:  The 2015 Princess Papers will be due no later than December 15, 2014!!  I know we have said it in the past, HOWEVER, papers received after this date run the risk of the Princess photos not appearing in the Commemorative 2015 Princess Program Book, which will highlight the 100th Anniversary of the Gift of Dogwood Trees to Japan - due to the page count.

You can start soliciting now for qualified applicants!!  Do not wait until the last moment to have someone represent your State, Territory, or Embassy!!

If you have someone who would like to be a Junior Cherry Blossom Princess (ages 5 thru 12), the waiver is located in the PRINCESS PROGRAM folder, under the sub-folder listed: Junior Princess Program.

Now Available:

ONLY 12 BAGS LEFT!!  Don't delay - To purchase your beautiful tote bags commemorating the 100th Anniversaries of the Gift of Cherry Blossom Trees from Japan to the United States and the Gift of Dogwood Trees from the United States to Japan, featuring our signature drawing by our featured NCSS artist - click here
