Cherry Blossom Program
Cherry Blossom Buds of Promise Program
We are inaugurating our Cherry Blossom Royal Buds of Promise Program. The program is open to girls ages 1 to 4.
Our Cherry Blossom Royal Buds will participate in the Cherry Queen’s Storytime & Royal Cherry Blossom Tea Party, be individually introduced, and receive a crown from the U.S. and Japan Cherry Blossom Queens. They will also participate in a cultural activity and have the opportunity to take a photo with our Queens.
We encourage our Buds of Promise to attend the Lantern Lighting and NCSS Celebration Gala (ticket not included) as well where they will be recognized.
State and Territorial Societies can have more than one part, it is not limited, and applications are accepted on a first come - first serve basis.
Cherry Blossom Junior Princess Program
Since 2012, the Junior Princess Program has welcomed young girls ages 5 to 15, inspiring a lifelong connection to the Cherry Blossom tradition.
Designed to spark early interest, this program introduces girls to the rich history and values of the Cherry Blossom Program, nurturing future participants who will one day take part in the main program for young women.
The program also warmly includes sisters of current princesses, daughters of Princess Alumnae families, and members of state and territorial societies, allowing them to join ticketed festival activities. A highlight is their special introduction at the Princess Tea, where each Junior Princess receives her sash and tiara from the U.S. and Japan Cherry Blossom Queens.
We also encourage Junior Princesses to attend the Lantern Lighting Ceremony and the NCSS Celebration Gala, where they will be formally recognized for their participation.
State and Territorial Societies may nominate multiple Junior Princesses—there is no limit to participation.
